There’s a lot to the Oredigger experience, but don’t worry—we’ll bring it all directly to you and make sure you feel part of the community from day one. As soon as you open the door to your room on campus, you’ll be made to feel at ag亚游app网站. “I would say living on campus is definitely important to do! It allows you to explore campus more and create lasting friendships with the people you live with!”

“Just find your people when you move on campus. Greet everyone that you possibly can and just learn about all the different places that Orediggers come from.”

Brenna, Civil Engineering, Colorado Springs, Colo.

“I lived on campus for five years. I was a freshman resident in Bradford Hall, an RA in Weaver Towers for two years, a CD for Morgan and Thomas Halls for a year and a CD at Mines Park for my graduate school year. Residence Life is such a passionate group of people dedicated to helping residents, and I’m proud to be one of the few that lived on campus for my whole Mines career. 来自RAs的支持是 难以置信的, living with a group of people your age is such a fun and new experience for most college students. Living in the residence halls helped me grow as a person and learn more about people than any class I took.”

“I lived in Weaver Towers my freshman year and absolutely loved it! I very much enjoy the idea of living on campus and being close to 所有的 该活动. This even inspired me to apply to be an RA, and I was assigned to Elm for the next year. Living on campus is an easy way to meet others and connect with different opportunities on campus. I was able to go rock climbing every day since the Rec Center was only a two-minute walk from my dorm.”

“Living on campus was a fun and convenient experience. Being so close to everything was so nice, and it made it easier to make new friends. You got to hang out with people on your floor or even the people in your building. I would recommend reaching out to other people on your floor, because you never know who you are going to need, 如果你有困难的话, there are so many people that can help.”

“I loved living in 1750 Jackson—I made some of my best friends there. The ability to walk outside of your room and be immersed in campus is invaluable. I recommend making or joining a group chat for your housing, and one my favorite things to do was “night hiking.” I would highly recommend living on or close to campus.”

“Being on campus freshman year is convenient. Everything from your food to classes to recreation are within five-minute walks. Living in the Trads was an easy way to make new friends. Just make sure you have everything you want before moving in.”

“My favorite thing about living on campus was just being on campus. You can walk everywhere from your own ag亚游app网站 and can even go back to it in between classes. I would live on campus even longer if they had more options.”

“I lived on campus my freshman year, and it was really fun! I loved how everything was a short walk away. 我住在枫树, and me and my best friend at the time used to always go hang out with our friends in the Trads. 真的很好, 如果你需要什么, you could always go back to your room and grab it.”

“I loved being 10 minutes away from anywhere I wanted to go on campus, 无论是娱乐中心, 其中一个实验室, 教室或活动. Mines的校园很漂亮. Spend as much time as you can on it.”
