The AOC Birthrate Idiocy, Sunny Hostin’s Nikki Haley Backfire, and More

This claim:

“Under the burdens of capitalism. . . we are not going to have children.”

— Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Tuesday

We say: The socialist AOC thinks that capitalism creates “burdens” that depress birth rates, but free markets are the best way to lift a nation out of poverty – and it is the best who have fewer children. Then again, even the poor in America are far richer than most of humanity throughout history. Oh, and by the way: birth rates in more socialist Europe are lower than those in the US.

This splinter:

“What is (Niki Haley’s) real name again?”

— Sunny Hostin, Tuesday

We say: Sunny (Assunção) Hostin of The View intervened again, this time suggesting that Republican Nikki Haley uses “Nikki” instead of her “real name” to hide her Indian heritage. Except that “Nikki” actually appears on Haley’s birth certificate, while “Sunny” is nowhere on Hostin’s. Why does Hostin use “Sunny”? “Americans cannot pronounce ‘Asunción’ because of the lack of education in our country,” she said. Desperate times ask for lame apologies, we think.

We say: The one time President Biden gets it right, declaring the pandemic “over,” the left collapses. The pandemic is still “furious,” shouted a Washington Post editorial, arguing that COVID still kills 400 Americans a day. Yet nearly five times as many (1,900) die daily from heart disease and more than four times (1,650) from cancer. Are these “furious” pandemics too? MSNBC, The New York Times, NPR and a number of Democrats also questioned Biden’s claim. Sorry lefties: the bug may not be gone completely, but there is no more emergency. the pandemic It is about.

Find the difference:

“Yea.”

— Biden, Sunday, asked if US forces would defend Taiwan

– against –

“Our Taiwan policy has not changed.”

— WH press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Tuesday

We say: Once again, the White House backtracks on the president’s statement, leaving the US defense of Taiwan in question. So who do people believe – Biden? Or your cleaning crew?

This statement:

“I really hope China decides sometime in the next few days [to continue climate-change talks].”

— John Kerry, Tuesday

We say: China is the world leader in greenhouse gas emissions with no intention of turning off fossil fuels. And even if you have agreed to do so, your word is worthless. Will Kerry buy a clue?
