White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre suggested Thursday in “The View” that the Biden administration is trying to “fix” an immigration system that former President Trump decimated.

Republicans helped create chaos on the border.

Jean-Pierre told “The View” presenters that the number of people fleeing countries like Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela to enter America has increased recently, saying, “We’ve seen a 121% increase since last year. So we’re talking of places that have a communist regime, and they’re trying to leave that communist regime and you’re seeing this problem across the western hemisphere… So we have a new kind of migration that’s happening.”

She said the Biden administration has handled the situation responsibly, working closely with countries in the troubled region, but Republican governors have been troublesome.

BORDER AGENTS REMOVE KAMALA HARRIS’ BORDER CLAIM, SAY ‘FAR FROM SAFE’

“All our regional partners are dealing with this. We are talking to them and we are in constant communication,” she said. “That’s why the feat that Republican governors are doing is so disgraceful.”

Republican governors like Ron DeSantis of Florida have been sending immigrants to areas popular with liberal politicians in an attempt to put border chaos back into the political spotlight.

Jean-Pierre suggested the move was “so inhumane” because the Trump administration caused the problems in the first place.

“It’s so inhumane because while we’re trying to fix a problem that’s been decimated, an immigration system that’s been decimated by the last government, they’re not coming up with solutions,” Jean-Pierre said. “They are using children, they are using women and families as a political coup, as a political maneuver because they don’t want solutions.”

Jean-Pierre added, “I want to ask Governor DeSantis, ‘Why? Why is this what you are doing? Why are you doing this with children? With families? Where is the solution?'”

Jean-Pierre is the latest of several Democratic leaders, such as Vice President Kamala Harris and Representative Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., who have suggested that Republicans, particularly the Trump administration, are to blame for the current border crisis.

Harris suggested in a video released Wednesday by Vice that the Biden administration is spending time and resources to “rebuild” the immigration system.
