Groundbreaking for Illinois Casino at Rockford On Tap Wednesday

the long awaited Hard Rock Rockford Casino took a big step towards opening its doors.

Illinois Casino recently received the green light from Illinois game board (IGB) to start construction of the permanent casino. Hard Rock officials announced the details of the innovation.

The event will take place on the day Wednesday, September 28 on the former site of the Clock Tower Resort, where the permanent casino will be. Hard Rock executives will be present along with local guides and cheap trick guitar player Rick Nielsen who hails from Rockford.

Perhaps Nielsen will play the band’s hits, “Surrender” or “I Want You To Want Me.”

Hard Rock Casino hopes to attract tourists

Jon LucasCOO of Hard Rock International said in a press release about Hard Rock’s permanent casino:

“Our opening act (temporary casino) in Rockford was amazing, but I know the entire Rockford community is just as excited about the main show as we are. From the start, Rockford’s energy exceeded expectations and it’s no secret that they really are ready to rock. Building on this momentum and with the incredible support of the Illinois Gaming Board and the Rockford community, we are ready to begin the next chapter.”

The Rockford community has certainly embraced the temporary casino Hard Rock: an opening act. Last July was a record month for Hard Rock Rockford.

The announcement was made by CSI 45,000 guests attended an opening act in July, which is the biggest since the casino opened in November 2021.

Hard Rock officials expect these numbers to continue to rise once the permanent website opens.

What does Hard Rock have in store

The Hard Rock permanent site will cost approximately $310 million to build. construction will create 1,000 temporary jobs. There will be 1,200 permanent jobs at the casino once it is open.

The installation will be there 65,000 square meters of scope. This will be Illinois’ largest casino in terms of square footage. The casino will also have a Hard Rock Cafe and live hard rock the A Entertainment venue with 1,600 seats for concerts and other performances.

Hard Rock recently applied for a license to open a bookmaker under An Opening Act. She hopes to get CSI approval by the end of the year. Casino officials have not announced that a sportsbook will be built on the permanent site. But it’s a safe bet that a bookmaker is on the way, considering one is slated to be built on the temporary site.

This one permanent game page is scheduled to open sometime in 2023, though officials at Hard Rock and Rockford haven’t given a firm timeframe for that. Long-term casino opening.
